Man seeks funds for son's SA treatment

Mr Kunyonga said local doctors attending to his son had recommended that he tries his luck in South Africa.

A HARARE man, Mr Nelson Kunyonga, is appealing for funds to have his son, who has been attacked by a cancer eating up his face and the skin on his head, undergo treatment in South Africa.

“l have been to many hospitals in the country, but now all the doctors who used to help me are saying my son’s condition is beyond control,” he said.
“They are advising me to go to South Africa, since there is not much medication in this country.”

Mr Kunyonga said he had since stopped going to work to have time to nurse his child whose mother dumped the family for South Africa three years ago.
He said he had tried several people, including some well-known foreign preachers, but his child’s condition did not improve.
