Please allow me space in your paper to write an open letter to HE President Mugabe, as a last option to resolve this matter, involving me and his nephew Mr Kaitano Mugabe

I have been left with no option, but to write you an open letter,to have my case addressed. In December 2004, I was allocated an A2 plot alongside 3 other beneficiaries at Mukonono Farm, Darwendale in Zvimba District. The first plot 's beneficiary was your nephew Mr Kaitano Mugabe, who we co-existed with, without any problem. On 26/02/09, he informed me that his wife's nephew(eldest sister's son), a Mr Chris Dhaitone, had been re-allocated my plot on 11/02/09 and that I should vacate it immediately.

I had several meetings with Ministry of Lands and Land Reform officials at District,Provincial and National(Head Office) levels seeking redress, eventually being referred to Minister Dr Murerwa. I was unable to  meet him despite 3 appointments. I then referred the matter to Deputy Prime Minister Professor Mutambara in July 2009, who headed the Cabinet Team on Land Disputes. Despite summer season fast approaching, by 14/09/09, he had not yet resolved the matter. I then contacted Mr L.Kamwe on 15/09/09 to bring the matter to your attention, and was asked to put it in writing. I did that and left it at your Munhumutapa Offices on 16/09/09, but I am yet to get a response.

Many Zimbabweans, including my own 2 elder brothers, sacrificed their youth, education and risked lives(others died) in order to fight a system of laws on segregation and discrimination designed to previledge whites whilst oppressing blacks---without expecting payment in return, but only FREEDOM,JUSTICE, EQUALITY FOR ALL CITIZENS.Current insinuations of entitlement are not only ridiculous and mercenary-like, but also an insult to those who perished. If  I were a greedy person, I could have used my scarce Agricultural skills, knowledge and commercial farming experience(including tobacco production) that the Nation currently desperately needs; plus my 2 late brothers' Liberation War credentials, to claim entitlement to 3 plots. However, no Sir, just that single plot is adequate for our entire Family's sustenance.

The Mugabe Family's name and membership of the President's Office(CIO), have been used in this instance by your nephew Mr Kaitano Mugabe, to greedily run roughshod over Government officials and influence decision to his personal advantage. You are a great and principled Statesman, whom I believe condemns such corrupt behaviour, which betrays your legacy.

I humbly request therefore, Your Excellency, that you instruct your nephew to immediately vacate my plot, and enable me to do land preparations for 2010/11 Tobacco season without any further delay, and also that he exhibits suitable behaviour(Gudo guru peta muswe kuti vadiki vakutye). I can be contacted on
moetmaumbi@yahoo.com.

Your humble son
